Neighbourhood Plan Update May 2018
9th May 2018
The consultation period on the Draft Plan ended on the 7th of April and a total of 210 completed response forms were received. This is a very good response – the planning consultant advising the Parish Council on the Plan has indicated that this is much higher than many areas he has come across.
Every comment has been typed up into a report identifying the level of support for or opposition to each of the 15 policies in the Draft Plan. The good news is that the responses clearly demonstrate overwhelming support for the Plan. Not surprisingly, sites proposed for housing development generated particularly strong views.
The report is currently being finalised before being made publicly available, and is sure to be of interest to residents.
The results of the village Business Survey have also been written up into another major report. This contains a wide range of information about the local business community, main issues of concern and ideas for improvements from a business perspective. The report is available on the Parish Council website www.addingham-pc.gov.uk
Comments on the Draft Plan are still awaited from Bradford Council and these will have to be considered in detail by the Forum in due course. Hopefully it will be possible to provide an up-date on this in next month’s Newsletter.
